    •       Terms of the transaction (Incoterms under which the freight will be transported (Ex-works, Delivered-at-Place, Delivered-Duty-Paid, Door-to-Door, Door-to-Airport, the party responsible for paying duties and taxes, etc.).

  5. What are DTGruelle’s delivery rates?

    Our competitive delivery charges are based on multiple factors, including the nature of the goods, pickup, and delivery points, and the intricacy of the route. Fuel surcharges, market variations affecting airfreight and steamship transportation, and the availability of truckers and multimodal equipment substantially influence delivery rates.

  6. What types of freight does DTGruelle handle?

    DTGruelle moves commercial goods, general commodities, as well as freight of all kinds (FAK) on a routine basis. We particularly specialize in controlled commodities regulated by such bodies as ITAR, BIS, ATF, and PHMSA. We also handle oversized freight/project cargo and cold chain.

  9. How do I arrange a pickup?

    Contact your freight coordinator directly or contact our export team (exports@dtgruelle.com) or import team (imports@dtgruelle.com) to arrange a pickup.

    Both our Imports and Exports departments also handle domestic freight shipments.

  10. What are the requirements for shipping cargo internationally?

    There are various moving parts to transporting freight internationally. To receive a quote or make a booking, DTGruelle requires a commercial invoice and packing list of the cargo you are looking to move. More information may be required depending on the service and commodity.

    Necessary documents include:

    •       Commercial invoice OR value of cargo

    •       Commodity description

    •       Number of packed packages

    •       Weight and dimensions of freight (length x width x height)

    •       Value of the commodity you wish to ship

    •       Pickup/delivery location

  11. Where can I track the status of recent shipments?

    DTGruelle offers an online tracking system through LogixBoard, where you can see the status of all your ongoing shipments with us.

    To set up an account on LogixBoard, reach out to sales@dtgruelle.com or contact your freight coordinator directly for details on your shipment.

  12. Can I get a summary of previous shipments?

    Yes. Any shipments handled via DTGruelle will also be visible on our client’s individual accounts found on Logixboard. This process happens automatically without any input required from our clients. DTGruelle also maintains physical and digital records for a minimum of five years. Please contact your freight coordinator directly for questions about your shipment history at DTGruelle.

  13. What are your hours of operation?

    Standard hours: Mon - Fri 7 AM - 5 PM

    Warehouse (deliveries/pickups) hours: Mon - Fri 7 AM - 4:30 PM

    DTGruelle is closed for the following national holidays:

  14. What happens if a shipment is not completed due to damage and/or loss?

    DTGruelle aims to maintain reliable oversight of cargo during shipping, but unforeseen incidents can occur. Our representatives will work diligently to recover lost or damaged goods, but should recovery not be possible, we offer insurance coverage for the expense of lost or damaged merchandise. To learn more about our rates for freight insurance, please inquire when requesting a quote.

  15. What types of hazardous materials can DTGruelle transport?

    DTGruelle can transport DOT hazardous goods classes 1-9, including batteries, explosives, flammables, toxic materials, oxidizers, radioactive materials, and more.

  16. How can I calculate my shipment’s transit time?

    Transit time is impacted by a multitude of variables such as, but not limited to: Commodity type, hazardous class, known shipper vs. unknown shipper, pickup and delivery locations, international airfreight vs. ocean freight, domestic trucking, geopolitics, weather-related events, and more.

  17. How do I file a claim for damaged and/or lost freight?

    To start a claim with our company, please contact the broker who handled your shipment, and they will assist you through the process.

Our national U.S. Customs Broker license authorizes us to facilitate Customs Clearances at all U.S. points, which includes Ocean Ports, Airports, and Border Crossings. In addition to our core offerings, we extend ancillary U.S. Customs services, such as duty drawback, letter of credit, FTZ, Form 6 processing, as well as CITES and Lacey Act support. DTGruelle operates under the status of a Class-3 Bonded warehouse, which U.S. Customs officially recognizes. Our warehouse has a designated secure zone accommodating elevated value and sensitive cargo.

    Moreover, our export personnel exhibit the necessary expertise required for safely handling and processing hazardous cargo, backed by HAZMAT training. Our authorization by DCMA enables us to manage Duty-Free imports for the U.S. Government.
