A Carnet allows your goods to move duty free between up to 70 countries. It is a very useful document for certain applications because it can be used as many times as is needed within a proscribed set of time. Useful applications would be: testing equipment which needs to move between various factories, or for exhibition material that will be travelling to various shows in different countries. A Temporary Import under Bond (TIB) can also be advantageous for our customers. A TIB into the United Stated (or the equivalent of a TIB for foreign importers) allows goods to be imported duty free, as long as they are subsequently exported within a proscribed period of time. As a US Customs Broker with a national license DTGruelle can file for a TIB in behalf of our clients in any airport or ocean port in the USA. We can also make all arrangements with our foreign agents to file for their equivalent of a TIB when we are exporting goods to foreign countries.
