Import compliance involves the creation and follow-through of policies and procedures that will assist an importer with meeting their reasonable care standard. BTS will work with the importer to create a comprehensive customs compliance manual incorporating policy and procedure that are already in place and when necessary, create new procedures that are compliant with Customs and Border Protection.

Our staff has over 75 years of import experience and provides assistance directly to importers by performing ongoing line reviews and pre-classifications of their commodities on a long term basis. This key information is securely stored on our state-of-the-art archival system with 128 bit encryption technology and becomes part of a library which is accessed by our operations employees at the time of entry. Additionally, customers may also contact us to provide classification information at various times on a product-to-product basis and to request binding rulings from US Customs & Border Protection.
